250 acre marsh on one of the docent-led hikes available on weekends,
these tours are very informative and are free of charge. The docents
will also identify plant life and fill you in on the history of the
marsh and area. |

Elephant Seals

One of the Bay
Area's most popular shows featuring larger-than-life
characters is to be found at Aņo
Nuevo (click on the underlined name or the picture for more
information) State Beach. The stars are the elephant seals & the
prime time to see them is during mating season, from December to April,
reservations are no longer required. Show up and docent led tours leave
every 15 minutes.
